"Give me back my shovel Dustin!!"
"Why should I?"
"Give it back or i'll scream!!"
"I don't care if you scream you big baby"
"Give it back!!"
"No!"

I got up out of the sandbox and shoved Dustin

"Ow!"

He threw my shovel and it hit me in the face

"Ow!! Dustin i'm telling my mommy!!"
"Not if I tell my mommy first"

We both ran to Dustin's house where our mommy's were..They were sitting on the patio talking..Me and Dustin both started yelling in unison

"Mommy he/she hit me!!"
"Slow down..one at a time"

Dustin started to talk before I did..i smacked my teeth and he stuck his tongue out at me..

"She pushed me down in the sandbox"
"Keyshia why did you push him?"
"Because he took my shovel mommy"
"Dustin why did you take her shovel?"
"Cause I wanted to use it"
"Well did you ask her?"
"Mommy if I woulda asked her she woulda said no"
"Nu uh"
"Yes huh"

Both mothers yelled

"Both of you hush"

Dustin and I looked down

"Keyshia you're going in time out for pushing Dustin"
"Keyshia what happened to your cheek?"
"He threw the shovel at me after I pushed him"
"Dustin you get your little butt in time out too before I spank you"

We stomped off in the corner together..I sat down and pouted..and he just smiled..

"Stop looking at me you loser"
"Fine"

He turned and we were sitting back to back mad at the world but mostly each other for being in timeout..

"Dustin stop!"

I laughed..he was pulling on my feet trying to get me in the pool..

"Key Key stop being scared! Just come on I got you"

Everyone was splashing around us..it was the first weekend of eighth grade at our back to school pool party

"Please Key Key get in with me and then afterward we can go get some icecream and go to my house and watch a movie"
"Any movie I want?"
"Yes..now come on!!"
"Will you catch me??"
"Yes"

I jumped in the water and Dustin caught me then dunked me under..Once I got back to the surface I splashed him..

"You idiot!"

He laughed at me and I smiled

"Who wants to play chicken??!!"
"We do!!"
"Yeah!!"
"Heyy Key Key you wanna play chicken??"
"How do you play??"
"You remember chicken on the monkey bars?''
"Yeah"
"Well its the same you're just on my shoulders"
"Sure"
"Iight"
"We bouta win ya'll"

everyone laughed..turns out we did win and I had so much fun..we got out the pool and dustin dried me off

"You ready for icecream Key?"
"Yeah.."
"K..lets go"

"No Prob..thank you for getting in the pool"
"Anytime with you"
"You mean it?"
"Yeah"

Dustin leaned into me and we kissed

"so what movie are we watching?"
"Grease!"
"Aww man Key..again??"
"Yup"

I smiled at him and he laughed back..
