I walked through the double doors of the high school I go to, I continued to Diana's locker to not see her. I shook my head and walked to my own locker to see her leaning against it, I smiled pretending nothing was wrong. "So what happen to you this morning? you didn't pick up your phone" I stated, she moved away from the locker.

"I know I'm sorry, I was kind of busy"

"Sleeping doesn't count as busy" I said, opening my locker and grabbing my home room binder.

"I wasn't sleeping, I was with Spec"

"Oh" I said lowly, I slammed my locker shut and she looked at me, concern in her eyes. I had to tell her, I had to let her know, but would she believe me? maybe I could write her a note. No, she knows my handwriting, we started to walk to our home room, she was talking about Spec as I was thinking of a way to tell her. I watched as she spoke about him, like he was perfect, like I didn't matter anymore. It hurt to see her so happy about someone else, I was also happy because she was but it still hurt.

"You ok?" she asked, I nodded, "are you sure?" she questioned.

"Yea umm we still on tonight?"

"Of course" she said, the bell rang and class began, I could tell her tonight, maybe...

At lunch my cell phone vibrated, I pulled out my cell phone, just as Kelly sat down at the table, I had gotten a text from Spectacular.

Hey baby, I miss you, call me after school
-Spec

I smiled and sent a text back, saying I would and that I missed him too, I put my phone back in my pocket and looked up. Seeing Theresa sitting across from me, she looked at me, "what's going on? are you and Nell together?" she asked.

"No, but I do have a boyfriend"

"Oh snap who is it?" Ebony said, joining the conversation.

"Spec" I replied, hearing Neeka say something under her breath, "what you say?" Carnell wasn't at the table at the time seeing as he was getting our lunch, I've always taken some of his food.

"I said you always get slopping seconds"

"What you talking about?"

"You'll find out" was all she said when Nell walked over and sat between me and her, man I couldn't stand her.

Around midnight I pulled up to Diana's house, seeing her locking up the house, a bag in hand. She walked over and climbed into the passager seat, she kissed my lips quickly before I drove off. "So how was your day with him?" I asked, I hated Nell, he was always out to get me, and I don't know what I did.

"Him who? Carnell?"

"Yea"

"It was ok but umm Neeka said something that got me thinking" she stated, a lump grew in my throat.

"Oh you know Neeka?"

"Somewhat..wait how you know her?"

"One of my friends use to date her"

"Oh well she's dating Carnell" she told me, oh that's explain's a lot, I pulled into the parking lot of my apartment buliding. Once the engine was off she got out, I did the same, anyway once in the apartment, she checked on Jr. first. I locked up knowing Blue was fast asleep, I walked to my room leaving the door open for her. When she walked in, closed the door behind her, leaving it slightly open and then set the bag on my dresser. I looked at her as I sat on my bed after undressing, leaving my boxers on, "thanks" she said. Standing in between my legs, looking down at me, I moved my hands to her hips.

"For?"

"Letting me sleep over"

"I've got to get use to you anyway, you are moving in, in about a month" I told her, she leaned down and kissed me softly. That's when her cell phone went off, I let out a breath while she went to pick it up, I'm always going to second to her, wasn't I?

"Ay D you want to come to my house and go swimming?" Theresa asked as I sat down in my desk of my second hour.

"Sure, but who's going to be there?"

"Everyone but Neeka, she has something or someone to do" she replied, we both laughed. Anyway at lunch I sat beside Nell and grabbed a few fries off his tray, he share's his food with me.

"Sooner or later your going to have to buy your own lunch"

"Who said?" I asked, looking Nell in his eyes, I saw sadness, which isn't normal, but I said nothing. I didn't want everyone to know, "you going to Theresa's after school, right?" I asked lowly in his ear.

"Yea you going?" I nodded, leaning my head on his shoulder, I was a little tired since Jr. woke me up a little to early.

After school and at Theresa's house, everyone was there and I was glad Neeka wasn't. Everyone was wearing their swim suits expect for Diana, which she didn't have one. "You got to go swimming, what's the whole point on being here if your not going to swim?" Theresa asked D.

"I would but I don't have a swim suit"

"You can use one of mine" Theresa stated, standing and grabbing Diana's arm, pulling her inside Theresa's house.

"So Nell when are you going to tell D?" Pat asked, I looked at him funny then looked back at everyone else. They were in the pool, talking, kissing, doing whatever they wanted since Theresa's parents weren't home.

"Tell D what?"

"That you looooooooooove her"

"I'm not" I stated and after a few minutes the back door opened up, I turned to see Theresa. I then saw someone else, she was wearing a little swim suit and her hair was up in a pony tail. It was Diana but it didn't look like her, she looked a lot different, "damn" I whispered.

"Ay Nell, wipe your month, your drooling" I heard Pat say, I quickly did as told. She walked over to me and smiled, "ay Theresa, baby lets go" his voice trailed off since Theresa pushed him in the pool.

"Nell come on, lets going swimming" Diana said, getting into the pool herself. I attempted to get up but sat back down, I had a boner and didn't want her to know about it. "Come on Nell! I'm lonely" she said looking at me, everyone was paired off, I can do this, right? I stood up and quickly made my way into the pool, she swam over and wrapped her legs around my waist. Shit, she's not making this easy, she then wrapped her arms around my neck. As I wrapped my arms around her, never wanting to let her go, I never did, I wanted to stay like this forever.

"Nell what did I tell you about that thing?" she whispered in my ear, sending chill's down my back.

"I uhh, damn D" I said, everyone around us disappered and it was only us in the water. I walked over to a wall, pressing her against it, she looked me in the eyes and I wasted no time in kissing her lips. "I love you" I said when I pulled away, "I've always loved you" I told her, kissing her again.

"Nell...Nell!" I heard her voice, I pulled my head back and saw D staring at me. I could feel her legs around me still, why couldn't that be real? Why couldn't I just tell her I loved her?

"Yea?"

"You ok? you've been acting strange since a couple days ago"

"Yea I'm fine, I've been thinking a lot lately"

"Oh, well is it about my birthday gift?" she asked, trying so hard for me to tell her, I shook my head.

"Yea" I lied, she smiled and kissed my cheek, "D we need to talk" I stated.

"Ok talk" she said, her back reached a wall, she leaned against it and the movement of the water made her rub against me. Damn it, I'm not catching a break today am I? I looked into her eyes, I have to tell her.

"I..I don't think Spec right for you" I said, no wrong words.

"What?"

"I just think you could do so much better then him"

"Thanks Nell but I think I can pick my own guys" she told me, she kissed my cheek again. Today is not my day, but at least she's here with me right? I got that much, I let out a breath and we started to talk about him and Neeka, which is not a good topic for either of us.

"So what did you do after school?" I asked Diana as she slipped into my bed. She wore one of my shirts and boyshorts underneath, she let out a breath.

"I went over to Theresa's house and went swimming"

"Who was there?" I had to ask, I wanted to know if he was there.

"Kelly, Ebony, Patrick, Theresa and Carnell"

"Oh" I said lowly, I turned around, so my back was now facing her, why was I getting jealous? He was with Neeka, and Diana's with me, maybe it's the fact that she use to have a crush on him. I felt her touch my back and I laid down on my back, looking into her eyes.

"He's my best friend, Spec"

"I know but I'm your boyfriend"

"I know that"

"Well it doesn't seem like it, Diana since we started dating all you talk about is him"

"He's my best friend, I told you that"

"Yea and what am I? do you even talk about me when he's around?"

"Of course"

"What about Jr.?"

"What are you getting at?"

"I..I don't think you should be his friend anymore" I stated, she looked at me in disbelief.

"I..I can't do that"

"It's me or him" I told her hoping she'll pick me, she just stared at me, thinking. "Think about it and tell me later, I need to get some sleep and so do you" I told her. I kissed her forehead as I wrapped my arms around her, and I soon fell asleep wishing she'll pick me.

I walked to my locker hoping somehow Nell got sick and stayed home. I didn't want to see either of Spec or Nell at the moment. I wanted to be with Spec, but Nell was/is my best friend I can't stop being his friend. "Ay D!" I heard him, I closed my locker and made my way to my home room. I ignored him through out the class but once in second hour I had to talk to Theresa.

"So what's up? Nell texted me telling me your not talking to him"

"I would but I have a lot on my mind"

"Tell me"

"Just don't tell Nell"

"Just tell me"

"Spec wants me to pick between him and Nell and I don't know who to choose"

"Carnell, boys come and go but Nell is one sexy beast to help you get over what's his face" I laughed a little. "Come on D we all know your in love with him, and your just using Spec to get Nell jealous and it working. So just dump what's his face and get with Nell" she told me, was I really trying to get Nell jealous? I mean I still love Nell, but he doesn't love me, I mean come on he's got her. Anyway at lunch I sat by myself, hoping I could figure out who I should pick when someone sat beside me. I looked over and saw Nell, I let out a breath as he looked at me, I wanted Nell, no one else but Nell.

"What's going on? you've been avoiding me"

"I just have a lot on my mind"

"Tell me, D I'm your best friend you can tell me anything"

"No I can't"

"What?"

"I..I got to go" I said getting up and walking out of the lunch room, I wanted to tell him but I couldn't. I wanted to tell him everything, even the fact that I was in love with him but I couldn't. Maybe I should be with Spec, but he's the one who wanted me to pick, I couldn't even do that. I wanted to be with Nell and Spec but I can't do that, I need help, other then Theresa or Ebony or Ashley, Erica...
